Creation Process
Artistic Design
Students designed their pocket monsters by sketching their ideas to then develop a 3D model using a free and open-source 3D computer graphics software called Blender.

The simulation illustrates the design process from a cube to a standard fish that is then refined to have the unique features of their fictional Pokémon species.
3D printing
Printing the models created by the students took between 8-15 hours each.

The giant PokéBoiler in the exhibit took 43 hrs to print, while each of the PokéBoiler keychain prizes took almost 2 hrs to print.
3D painting
Local artist Jo McGraw (IG:@jo_mcgraw_art) visited our class to share her knowledge about painting with acrylic and give us tips for painting 3D structures.
